The last time I landed in your inbox, we were racing to the Kickstarter finish line back in May. A lot has happened since then, but first, the thing I most want you to know:

I'll be at 📚NWA Book Fest this Saturday, September 26 from 10 AM to 6 PM at the Walton Arts Center, Fayetteville

Come say hi, grab a signed book, poke through my hand-sprayed editions (with sparkles!) and some character art. I'll also have my map of the Realms on display — draw a slip from the box, find your spot on the map, and take home a mini-story all your own!

But the best part? I'll have a few special edition copies of BOTH BOOKS with me — the last ones from the Kickstarter run. Once they're gone, they're gone, so if you've been wanting one for your shelf, this is the place.

I'll also be a guest on the "Swords, Spells, and Soulmates: The Irresistible World of Romantasy" Panel beginning at 5:30!

What have I been up to since May?

First: every single Kickstarter order has been fulfilled. 🎉 If you backed the campaign, your rewards are officially out in the wild.

Thank you for making it such a joy.

I also got out to a couple of wonderful events this summer.

Book Me Romance in Fort Smith was a whirlwind--more readers than I have EVER spoken to at an event!

A huge thank you to my friend Heather, who helped me set up, tear down, and kept me on track through all the chaos. Book events have so many moving parts, and having extra support always makes the difference. 💖

Rebels & Realms in Rogers gave me two of my favorite moments of the whole summer.

Do you see that guy? That's the hubs. If you've got a significant other who just...doesn't get it...I want you to know you are NOT alone. I keep telling him about bookish people. How cool we are. How much we love reading and talking about reading and drinking while reading and snuggling while reading and just...READING.

He came. He helped. He danced. He even dressed up for me. And guess what?

NOW? HE GETS IT. 😂

And then there's her.

She and I met at a swim meet — the two of us over our heads in chlorinated air, watching our kids swim their hearts out. She was working the merch table, and I spotted her bookish mug, so I asked, "What do you like to read?"

Turns out she likes what I like. We got to talking. I gave her my info.

SHE BOUGHT MY BOOK.

And then she brought it to Rebels & Realms to have me sign it. She made time for me — and made space for my characters in her chaotic swim-mom life.

I love readers like that. 💓 I love people like that.

A prequel by Christmas. 🎁 I'm not saying much yet, but if you've ever wanted to know how it all began in the Realms...you won't be waiting long.

And a secret project. I've been quietly building something a little different — under wraps for now. I'll tell you more when the time is right, but I couldn't resist letting you know it exists. 🤫
